The story

It is rare to be able to witness many places during different times of day. This particular view I have been able to witness quite a few different time frames from winter mornings to hot summer sunsets to a total eclipse. While capturing the eclipse In my mind I made a goal to get out her to capture the moon itself during sunset above the Backbone Peaks. It took over two years to make it happen but this day was an amazing moment. This shot was actually a long exposure shot. The sun had already set and it was pretty dark out. Though I wanted the moon I also wanted to get the colors of the rock and the sky without over exposing the moon. This capture was a 5 second exposure shot which will now last a lifetime.
