The story

It was the beginning of my photography journey when this piece was captured. It was a really cold day after a windy snowstorm I went out to capture the colors of winter. I wanted to go where I hadn’t been to stretch my mind and witness new surroundings. I headed up to an area called Red Feather for the first time during sunset. I set up the mountain and the roads were more slick the further I went, so I pulled over and said “This is it, Maybe another day” I turned the car around and started to head back. Looking to my left was a beautiful body of water glowing in the sunset that I didn’t see on the way up. It brought me one of my favorite captures to this day. Sometimes we just need to change our perspective to capture what is already here.
